Molecular Biophysics of the Cell

We study biophysical molecular design principles regulating transcription factor (TF) recognition of genomic DNA. The key open question is to establish a quantitative link between cellular gene expression programs and genome-wide TF-DNA binding and epigenetic landscapes. Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) represent our main model system.
